1. Overview

This Cookie Policy explains how cruxkaroo.com currently handles cookies, analytics, tracking technologies, server logs, embedded resources, and future consent requirements.

It should be read with the Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and Development Disclaimer.

2. Current Cookie Position

At present, cruxkaroo.com does not intentionally use non-essential cookies, analytics cookies, advertising pixels, behavioural tracking tools, remarketing tags, or marketing trackers.

The site may still generate ordinary technical server logs or security logs through hosting infrastructure. These logs may include IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser information, referrer, error information, and similar operational details.

3. Essential and Technical Processing

Some technical processing may be necessary to serve pages, protect the website, handle forms, route email, prevent abuse, maintain security, troubleshoot errors, and keep hosting infrastructure operational.

Where this technical processing involves personal information, it is handled under the Privacy Policy and POPIA Notice.

4. Third-Party Resources

The website may load or reference third-party resources such as fonts, embedded media, sky survey services, maps, scripts, hosting tools, email systems, or security infrastructure. These third parties may have their own technical processing, cookies, logs, or privacy practices.

Crux does not control third-party services and users should review third-party policies where relevant.

5. Future Analytics, Calendar, or Tracking Tools

If Crux later introduces non-essential analytics, advertising pixels, behavioural tracking, marketing automation, a public Planning Calendar, availability holds, user accounts, payment systems, or similar features, this Cookie Policy should be updated before or at the time those tools are used.

Where required by law, Crux should add an appropriate consent or preference mechanism before using non-essential cookies or tracking technologies.

6. User Control

Users can control many cookies through browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect some website functionality if future features rely on cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies.

The current planning tools may use browser storage to pass planning context between pages. This is used to maintain tool handoff state, such as target, rig, mosaic, or dataset context, and does not by itself submit information to Crux unless the user sends a form or enquiry.

7. Contact

Cookie and privacy questions can be sent to studio@cruxdesign.co.za.
